Rupaul's Drag Race: Rupaulapolooza

This week on Rupauls Drag Race the girls were faced with a very interesting challange of recording there own rendetions of Rupauls new single Superstar.

This weeks mini challenge was for the girls to play a game called Rusical Chairs. The game was basically musical chairs just in high heels. Which ever girl was left standing at the end of the game had to complete the rest of Ru's song lyrics. The final girl standing was Manila. This weeks mainstage challenge was for the girls to record different versions of Rupauls smash hit Superstar. Because Manila was this weeks winner she had the choice of what order the girls would go to choose there genre of music. The different genres were Pop, Hip Hop, Disco, Reggae, Punk and Country.

Manila chose disco for herself, Yara got Pop, Raja got Punk, Alexis got Hip Hop, Carmen got Reggae and Shangela was left with Country. Each one of the girls perfectly chose a style that best fits each one of there personalities. When the time came for the girls to go record there songs a few of the girls were nervous. Carmen did the worst with her performance be hind the mic as the producer kept telling her to give more and she wouldn't and couldn't. The time came for them to present there songs on the mainstage as they had to lip sync to there versions of Superstar. Manila was up first as her fierce performance and outfit set the bar very high for the rest of the girls. Up next was Alexis Mateo as she gave her best Lil Kim Hip Hop performance. Ending it all up was hot rocker punk chick Raja as she gave a very fierce performance.

At the judges critique the judges felt like the like Alexis Hip Hop look was more Strip Hop and very hookerish. They felt like Shangelas country look failed as her rendetion of a modern day country girl was not properly displayed. Down to Carmen who seemed not to care how bad her singing skills were but the judges felt that the singing was terrible. Raja was declared the weeks winner and won a customized gown. Shangela and Carmen were left to battle it out in the Lip Sync as they were the bottom two contestants. Shangelas back breaking performance earned her another week at RDR and sent Carmen packing. 8 down 5 remaining until Rupauls Drag race has a winner.
